Are you an Audrey or a Meryl?

It’s that time of year again! Sunday night is Oscar night. The 90th edition of the Academy Awards will be a gathering of the movie world’s elite, all there to applaud the world’s best films and their stars through until the early hours of Monday morning. This glamorous event has shone the spotlight on numerous female stars over the decades and it’s almost impossible to mention them all, so today we’ll like to pay tribute to just two. I’m sure you can identify with them because of their personalities or the roles they have played.

  • Audrey Hepburn. With a delicate, fragile appearance and angelic face, everything she wore set trends. She is incredibly natural and even looks elegant in a bathrobe without makeup. She oozes empathy, beauty and solidarity with children and the disadvantaged. A legend of the big screen, she won Best Actress in 1953 for “Roman Holiday” and has been nominated four times since then.
  • Meryl Streep. She has won more Oscars than any other actress, garnering three of a total of 20 nominations. A great acting talent who does not fit into the Hollywood beauty mould, Meryl can play any role convincingly. Generous, feisty and charitable, she is a strong women’s activist.

Because Bella Aurora loves the seventh art, today we’re awarding the Oscar for Bella Woman to Audrey Hepburn and the prize for Splendor Woman to Meryl Streep. That’s our verdict. Are you more of an Audrey or a Meryl?
