Is it only for summertime?
No, the sun constantly damages the skin, every day of the year. That’s why it is important to protect it from the sun every day. Bella Aurora sunscreens can be used as a usual moisturiser or after an anti-dark spot treatment, but they must be used every day, 365 days of the year.
Do Bella Aurora Sunscreens only protect the skin from the sun?
No, as well as protecting us from UVA, UVB and IR radiation, they care for our skin with depigmenting, moisturising, soothing and antioxidant substances. They are the ideal sun protection treatment for year-round skincare.
Do I need to wear sunscreen on cloudy days, too?
Yes, sun damage is caused by solar radiation and not by temperature. Solar radiation penetrates clouds and can be even more intense, so your skin needs protection to prevent damage and possible dark spots and to maintain the effects of anti-dark spot treatment.
How frequently should I apply sunscreen?
When at the beach, wearing swimwear and tanning for a few hours, you must apply sunscreen every two hours and reapply after swimming or rubbing yourself dry with a towel. Experts recommend quantities of 2 mg/cm2 to cover the skin evenly (this is a generous amount of product). The fact is that SPF in-vivo evaluation studies are conducted using 2 mg/cm2 of product. Smaller quantities do not guarantee the stated level of protection.
When it comes to products for daily use, when you are not at the beach, there is no need to reapply at two-hourly intervals, because your clothes protect you, and the exposed areas are less sensitive. It all depends on how long you are exposed to the sun. Just reapply the product every time you go outside and in case of heavy sweating.
